Creamy Broccoli Soup for Weight Loss

With the new year resolution for weight loss, let’s burst the stubborn belly fat with this delicious soup.  This creamy delicious soup has three belly fat bursting ingredients onion, broccoli and Greek yogurt, which fight against troubling visceral fats.

This recipe is great for weight loss.


Chopped broccoli 5 Cups
White beans, dried and rinse 15 Oz. (1 Can)
Chopped yellow onions 1 Qty.
Chopped celery ½ Cup
Ground black pepper ¼ Tsp.
Garlic clove, minced 1 Qty.
Vegetable stock (reduced sodium) 4 Cups
Low fat or non-fat Greek Yogurt ½ Cup
Nutmeg ¼ Tsp.

Preparation time – 5 to 7 minutes

Total time – 30 minutes

Servings – this recipe serves 7 cups  


  • First, take a saucepan and oil spray it nicely and let it warm on medium heat. Once warmed up then add the chopped onions and cook them up until they soften and turn slightly brown. This process of browning should take around 7 minutes.
  • Next, add the minced garlic and celery with some black pepper. Also, if the pan starts to become a little dry, spray it more with an oil spray. Keep the mixture stirring occasionally.
  • Once that’s done, next add the broth and cover it up, and bring to a boil. Once it reaches boiling, add the broccoli and reduce the heat to medium; cover and cook for about next 5 minutes.
  • Finally, add the beans and cook for another 5 more minutes uncovered while stirring occasionally. Last but most important, mix the nutmeg nicely.
  • Next to soften it, get an immersion blender and blend it as per your desired consistency. If you prefer complete smoothness or a frothy, thick, creaminess then you can add some yogurt to it. (Yogurt is completely optional and can be ignored if you prefer dairy free diet)
